Studio Gallery, Salamanca Arts Centre

This exhibition was held in the Studio Gallery at the Salamanca Arts Centre in Hobart, directly next to my working studio. It intends to share a glimpse into the playful, imprecise and beginning stage of my creative process. The photographs shown here are badly printed, incomplete, sometimes ripped, drawn on, photocopied, drawn on again, enlarged, reduced, stuck together. They are, for me, lucid portals, alluding to possibilities just out of reach, multitudinous, transmutable, and treasured. Nothing is set in order; I never know when I might see something, upside down or in part, that unexpectedly presents the potential of a painting.
